With Summerlicious just around the corner many two-timing Torontonians are preparing their pallets for delicious three-course meals offered at some of the city’s most delectable restaurants. According to a survey from AshleyMadison.com, Torontonians don’t necessarily only covet cuisine when choosing restaurants for extra-marital rendezvous. The dating site designed for those already in relationships polled 3,876 Toronto members and discovered the majority of cheaters prefer their trysts to take place more than 15 km from home and food ranks fourth as most important factor in the restaurant choice.

“Most of our Toronto members chose restaurants near where they work instead of risking being caught on a date close to home,” says Noel Biderman, CEO of AshleyMadison.com. “Larger restaurants are an obvious choice for adulterers since they are more inconspicuous and offer the allure of anonymity. I think if we phrased the question a bit differently, room service would have been number 1.”
For the majority of respondents, discretion is #1 priority when selecting a restaurant, Thursday evenings is the most popular date night and the majority will make dinner reservations for before 6:30 p.m.
Noel adds, “Summerlicious is going to wet peoples’ appetite in more ways than one and seems this year’s participating restaurants like Biff’s Bistro, Moxie’s and Sassafraz may have a crowd they never would expect. I was surprised to see two Oliver & Bonacini restaurants make the list but welcome them to the business of infidelity.”
