It’s summer and for women that means that there’s a whole new wardrobe that needs to make an appearance. While thre is a huge fashion shift for women during the summer, men’s fashion is a little backward in this sense and there’s not as much going on that is interesting. So here are a few ways that you can make yourself seem more fashionable for your affair partner this summer. Too many times men will just throw on shorts and a t-shirt, thinking that will be enough to cover their fashion needs. Wrong. Wrong and more wrong. Women always stand out more in pictures, but it’s not necessarily because of their natural beauty. They know how to present themselves.
Get a haircut, scruffy – Because bad hair is more expected in the winter due to the weather and the hats that people wear, you're going to want to make sure that your hair looks neat. The heat will make it frizz up if you're not careful and hair is often the first thing that women will notice, especially in the summer.
Do a little body hair trimming – The trend right now is for men to be a bit smoother, following along the trend of women who have little in the way of body hair. Since the warm weather means that you're going to be exposing more skin on a pretty regular basis. So while you don't have to remove all of your hair (unless you have a hairy back. Get rid of that if you've got a hairy back) you do need to make sure that it's not so unruly that it can't blow around in the wind like the hair on your head.
This includes, however, trimming around those sensitive areas because the hair will capture the scents around it and trap them. The last thing any woman wants is to do is smell your sweat after you've been walking around with your balls trapped in tight jockeys on a hot summer's day.
It's not clever if everyone else is doing it too – Oh we all like the shirts with the snarky sayings on it, but the thing is that since everyone has them… You're not standing out at all. So try keeping it simple. Try for something that's not a print, but a solid colour so you don't look like so much of a knob. The shirts with writing on them are fine for going out with your friends, but don't bring them out on a date. You'll look more mature without the cliché saying.
Ditch the flip flops – Seriously. Get some nice sandals, some comfortable shoes, anything. Flip flops only belong at the beach and maybe the pool, but everywhere else they look weird and make you look scruffy. Imagine walking in a city with them and all the grime that would get on your feet and get stuck there. On second thought, avoid sandals when going into the city. You're just going to end up with gross looking feet.
Colour your world – Try some bright colorus since the darker colours will only make you look muted underneath the sun. Since this is summer, try some bright yellows and greens, try wearing red shorts. As long as you avoid the colours that are blindingly bright like neon, you're pretty safe. A caution to those who want to be more colourful, pay attention to which colours match because not all of them do. One of the easy things about wearing the same colours all the time is that it's easy to match. When you step outside of your comfort colours, you need to be a little bit more conscious of your choices.
Find yourself something to accessorize with – Fashion tends to be all about women since they get to wear dresses, skirts, heels, capris and all those fun things. Men can wear… shorts and a nice t-shirt. While the colours change around, it's still not drastic enough to lift you above the rest. So try to think of a little addition that will help make your outfit pop. Sunglasses are a good choice, but so are hats. Just make sure it's not a generic baseball cap that everyone has a version of somewhere. You want to stand out, not blend in more.
Patterns are fun – Now you're going to think that we're screwing with your head, but patterns are also a great alternative to the shirts with the dumb sayings on them. Try something new or even better, take your partner out shopping with you so she can help you find something that really suits you. Since this is as tricky as matching colours, feel free to wear your regular jeans and other plain clothes if you're going to go for a fancy pattern.
Wear Sunscreen – This sounds dumb, but even if you're not going to the beach you need to be wearing sunscreen. Maybe not the heavy stuff that you would wear while going out for the day, but find a moisturizer that has some SPF protection built into it. Being out in the sun without any protection will reduce the elasticity of your skin and call premature aging if you're not careful. Unless you want to look like an old piece of leather way before your time, be more careful with the sunscreen.
Change your cologne – Different scents for Winter and Summer are encouraged. You'll want a lighter scent that's less musky in the summer because your body will be adding its own natural musk thanks to your swear. If you stick with the regular cologne, you could accidentally end up smelling dank instead.
